Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2013

Alexander McQueen designs have been a huge inspiration for me for the last couple years, they are in a league of their own. Sarah Burton really has outdone herself this time whilst sticking to McQueen's original vision but also showing her own capabilities through the collection. Influences included the Catholic Church and the Amish, this is clearly visible through the high collars, capes and the consistency of modesty in the garments (although a bit of thigh is shown with the mini dresses). I can imagine elegantly walking around a Highlands Castle or ruins on a frosty morning wearing these.

Have any pre-season collections caught your eye?

p.s Apologies for the size of the photos but I just couldn't resist showing them in all their glory!
